The concept and initial ideas for this book was in the mind of my dear friend Traci. We became friends when I first became a school counselor and she mentored me. As she was dying, one of her expressed regrets was not following through with creating this book. I took out my computer and we got to work. I am thankful for our connection with the talented Thomas Estrada who gave us amazing pictures to use. Traci got to see the mock-up of this book just before passing away. All proceeds from this book will be donated to a scholarship fund in her honor to be given to foster kids as they continue with post-secondary education.
