I Am Strong

This interactive book will help kids realize that their actions make them strong, even when some of their actions seem like weakness to others. This will be a good tool for parents, teachers, counselors, and school counselors to use as part of their encouraging discussions with children.

I Am Strong in Jesus’ Name

This activity book is written as a second version to “I Am Strong.” This version is meant to connect with kids of all ages who have a strong Faith in God, and to show how scripture and faith can affect their daily lives. This is a great tool for helping kids write out or draw their feelings, and great as a communication tool for teachers, Sunday School teachers, parents, counselors, or anyone wanting to help kids connect with God at a deeper and more meaningful level. The proceeds from this book will be placed in a college/post-secondary education scholarship fund for kids who have been in foster care or adoption situations.

About Traci

These books are written in memory of Traci Lynn Butler.

Traci Lynn Butler started her career as a special education teacher. After graduate school, she spent the remainder of her career as a child and family therapist as well as school counselor. Traci was dedicated to child advocacy. She was well respected in the educational community as well as the juvenile justice system.

Traci started this interactive book while undergoing her chemotherapy treatments, knowing that it could be a beneficial tool to encourage kids. She wanted to give a gift to counselors, teachers and parents that they could use as encouragement in their conversations with kids. Traci believed that all kids are strong and resilient; they just need the adults around them to help them see this.

About Lynda

Lynda Robinson was a mentee of Traci’s at the beginning of her school counseling career, and they shared a friendship for over 25 years. During Traci’s last days, Lynda took the first version of this book and finished the process of writing and publishing. She then expanded the scope to connect with kids who have a strong faith in God.

Lynda will be coordinating the proceeds from this book to fund a post-secondary education scholarship for kids who have spent time in foster care and/or adoption in honor of Traci’s work and wishes.

Connect with a high school counselor in Sahuarita Unified School District for further information on applying for scholarship or donating to this fund.
